Darroze Organic Armagnac – The Organic Range

This range was born from Marc Darroze's desire to experiment with organic farming on
the Gascony terroirs.
In close collaboration with some of the company's partner winegrowers, this range
was gradually built, from the vineyard to bottling, over years of perfectly controlled
aging.
The Folle Blanche grape variety is favored in the range, even though it remains the most sensitive
and delicate to produce. Its finesse and elegance will be enhanced by these respectful production
conditions.
The hand and experience of the producer are therefore essential to pay particular attention
to these organic vines which will ultimately produce an Armagnac of rare purity
and exhilarating richness.
A return to the source, to the beginning, where Armagnac was only subject to the whims of nature
without any other alteration. Time will then do its work and allow the Armagnac to reveal all its aromas.

The Darroze Organic Armagnac Range:

4 years – DARROZE ORGANIC – 100% Folle Blanche – 47.5°

Straw yellow color. The nose is fruity (candied orange peel, dried apricot, prune, mango), spicy
(fine spices, vanilla). There are also pastry aromas (honey, brioche, almond). Very fine and delicate
nose. This finesse is found on the palate, thanks to light, silky tannins. Beautiful roundness
on the palate despite its young age. We find the fruity aromas of the nose, the spices.
Beautiful length on the palate.

7 years – DARROZE ORGANIC – Baco, Colombard and Ugni Blanc – 48°

Fiery yellow color, golden reflections. The nose is expansive, revealing very spicy aromas (pepper, clove, licorice), dried
fruit (dried fig), and slightly roasted aromas (toasted bread, roasted walnut). Beautiful aromatic complexity
in this nose which requires a little aeration to reveal itself. The palate is round, the tannins present but silky.
The balance between the aromas (gingerbread, dried fruits), the tannins, and the alcohol is remarkable. Beautiful length.

2005 – DARROZE ORGANIC – 100% Folle Blanche – 48.5°

Golden color, clear and brilliant. The nose is delicate, marked by aromas of honey infusion (lime blossom,
mint), spices (pepper, clove, vanilla) and ripe fruit (quince, plum, apricot coulis). Spices
dominate on the palate: green pepper, nutmeg. There are also fresh walnut, licorice and fine spices.
Beautiful length.

2001 – DARROZE ORGANIC – 100% Folle Blanche – 48.5°

Amber color, golden reflections, brilliant. The classic expression of an 18-year-old Armagnac in this multifaceted nose.
Aging brings spices and rancio (walnut, undergrowth, honey, toasted bread). The initial fruitiness has
evolved towards prune, fig jam. All this gives a complex nose that evolves with aeration.
On the palate, the present tannins remain round and melted. The palate is rich, even opulent. This gives us
a natural sweetness around the fruity aromas of citrus, honey and jams. Beautiful length.

2000 – DARROZE ORGANIC – 100% Folle Blanche – 48°

Brown colored Armagnac, clear and brilliant. From the very first nose, harmony and balance are
present. With incredible complexity in its aromatic profile (fruits, spices, roasted notes, pastry notes),
this balance offers a surprising impression of intense yet benevolent strength. Both
vibrant and reserved. On the palate, the finesse of the tannins is remarkable; spicy aromas (vanilla,
cinnamon, cardamom) accompany candied fruits (apricot, fig), honey, and blond tobacco.
Beautiful length.
