80-Year-Old Armagnac: The 1946 Vintage by CAP Vintage
1946, the Year of Reconstruction
The 1946 vintage was born in a France recovering from World War II. In the Gers region, winegrowers resumed their work with renewed energy, producing brandies of beautiful quality. Eighty years of aging in oak barrels have given these Armagnacs exceptional complexity and depth: notes of tobacco, old leather, coffee, cocoa, candied fruits, and spices, with a remarkably long finish.
