The house of Veuve Lafontan & ses Enfants has been linked to the history of Bas-Armagnac since 1897. Initially a winegrower, Léonce Lafontan developed a business selecting and marketing Armagnac brandies. In 1904, the Veuve Lafontan & ses Enfants range was created as a tribute to his mother.

In 2008, Béatrice Mandon joined the company, helping to continue this family history, deeply attached to the Gascon terroir and fine old Armagnacs.
