A lover of his South-West and its ancient tradition, this cult chef of Gascon gastronomy initiated his son Francis to the culinary arts, fine wines, and fine Gascon eaux-de-vie. It is by cultivating this taste for tradition and authenticity that Francis Darroze, by traveling with his father, a discerning and demanding oenophile, through this famous Bas-Armagnac terroir and tasting treasures hidden deep within small estates, became a true scout of owner-produced Armagnacs.
The first discoveries date from the 1950s & 60s, then intensified from the 1970s with the construction of a cellar specifically dedicated to aging.
