Armagnac 1988 Darroze

This old vintage Armagnac 1988 Darroze, from the best crus, has aged in old oak barrels.

Grape variety: 100% Baco

For over 20 years, Marc Darroze has dedicated a lot of energy and passion to Armagnac. Through contact with winemakers, distillers, coopers, and Gascon breeders, Marc Darroze has been able to appreciate all the diversity and nobility of our profession.

In the family home, the aging of his Armagnacs has become more precise and refined, and his expertise is now complete.

This vintage 1988 Darroze Armagnac is available in a 70 cl bottle in a wooden box.

A lover of his South-West and its ancient tradition, this cult chef of Gascon gastronomy initiated his son Francis to the culinary arts, fine wines, and fine Gascon eaux-de-vie. It is by cultivating this taste for tradition and authenticity that Francis Darroze, by traveling with his father, a discerning and demanding oenophile, through this famous Bas-Armagnac terroir and tasting treasures hidden deep within small estates, became a true scout of owner-produced Armagnacs.

The first discoveries date from the 1950s & 60s
, then intensified from the 1970s with the construction of a cellar specifically dedicated to aging.

His son Marc, a trained oenologist, followed in his footsteps in 1996. Both complementary, both "treasure hunters," as Martine Nouet called them in her book "Eaux-de-vie: le guide," they have crisscrossed the Armagnac lands for all these years in search of this liquid gold that they offer you.

Treasure hunters first out of taste, but also to satisfy a loyal clientele looking for quality eaux-de-vie, they were together discoverers of Armagnacs. Today, Marc Darroze alone oversees the company, Francis Darroze having taken a well-deserved active retirement. He continues the work of guardian, sometimes antique dealer initiated by his father to make these treasures accessible to us.

CAP Vintage is proud to offer you this excellent Darroze Armagnac range and to accompany you on this discovery through this range and around Armagnac. Cap Vintage certifies the conformity, origin, and quality of this vintage Armagnac.
