Armagnac 1993 Clés des Ducs

Clés des Ducs Armagnacs

It is in the small Gers village of Panjas, in the heart of Gers, that the cellars of Clés des Ducs are located, where its cellar master Jérome Zadro has just succeeded Philippe Lézama. The latter, having held the position for 35 years, skillfully passed on his expertise.

"Over the years, we have managed to preserve the specificity of Clés des Ducs Armagnac."

These specificities and particularities found within the Clés des Ducs house are numerous:
    • The vast majority of Clés des Ducs Armagnacs are made from the Ugni Blanc grape variety.
    • The specificity begins with distillation, where the Clés des Ducs cellar master uses medium to low barrel heating. To stand out, Clés des Ducs chose to lightly oak our armagnacs by limiting aging in new oak barrels to 3 or 4 months to limit the woody notes.
    • The brand prefers the fruitiness of the eaux-de-vie over the aromas born from aging.
