This old vintage Darroze Armagnac 2000, from the best crus, has aged in old oak barrels. The nose is light, fine, and pleasant.

For over 20 years, Marc Darroze has dedicated a lot of energy and passion to Armagnac. Through contact with Gascon winegrowers, distillers, coopers, and breeders, Marc Darroze has been able to understand all the diversity and nobility of our profession.
In the family home, the aging of his Armagnacs has become more precise and refined, and his expertise is now complete.

A lover of his South-West and its ancient tradition, this cult chef of Landes gastronomy introduced his son Francis to culinary art, great wines, and fine Gascon eaux-de-vie. It is by cultivating this taste for tradition, for authenticity, that Francis Darroze, by traveling with his father, an experienced and demanding oenophile, this famous terroir of Bas-Armagnac and by tasting hidden treasures in the depths of small estates, became a true discoverer of propriétaire Armagnacs.
The first discoveries date back to the 1950s & 60s, then intensified from the 1970s with the construction of a cellar specifically dedicated to aging.
His son Marc Darroze, an oenologist by training, followed in his footsteps in 1996. Both complementary, both "treasure hunters", as Martine Nouet called them in her book "Eaux-de-vie: le guide", have traveled the lands of Armagnac all these years in search of this liquid gold that they offer you.
Treasure hunters first out of taste, but also to satisfy a loyal clientele looking for quality eaux-de-vie, they were together discoverers of Armagnacs. Today, Marc Darroze alone oversees the company, Francis Darroze having taken a well-deserved active retirement. He continues the work of guardian, sometimes of initiated antiquarian by his father to make these treasures accessible to us.
