This old vintage Armagnac 1947 by Veuve Lafontan & ses Enfants, made from the best crus of the Gascon terroir, has aged in old oak barrels. This old vintage Armagnac 1947 is offered in a Cognac-style bottle and its wooden Arche box.The first merchant-bottler was Léonce LAFONTAN (1865-1939). Originally a horse trader, in addition to being a winegrower, he became a Merchant - Bottler in 1897 by founding the LAFONTAN House. His primary activity, and knowledge of the region, allowed him to make a meticulous selection for the purchase of old Armagnacs from the best crus. Thus, Maison LAFONTAN was one of the pioneers in selling bottled Armagnac. It was in 1904 that he created the "VEUVE LAFONTAN & ses Enfants" range in homage to his deceased mother.
Stored in old oak barrels, this Bas-Armagnac 1947 has been subjected to the work of time to acquire the nobility of the greatest nectars. It is during a long aging process that it has acquired the fullness of its aromas.
