For more than 20 years, Marc Darroze has dedicated a lot of energy and passion to Armagnac. Through contact with winegrowers, distillers, coopers and Gascon breeders, Marc Darroze has been able to understand all the diversity and nobility of our profession.

In the family home, the ageing of his Armagnacs has become more precise and refined, and his expertise is now complete.

This vintage Darroze Armagnac 1962 is offered in a 70 cl bottle.

A lover of his South-West and its ancient tradition, this cult chef of Landes gastronomy initiated his son Francis to the culinary art, to great wines, to fine Gascon brandies. It was by cultivating this taste for tradition, for authenticity, that Francis Darroze, by travelling with his father, an experienced and demanding oenophile, through this famous terroir of Bas-Armagnac and tasting treasures hidden in the depths of small estates, became a true discoverer of owner-produced Armagnacs.

The first discoveries date from the 1950s & 60s, then intensified from the 1970s with the construction of a cellar specifically dedicated to ageing.

His son Marc, an oenologist by training, followed in his footsteps in 1996. Both complementary, both "treasure hunters", as Martine Nouet called them in her book "Eaux-de-vie: le guide", they have travelled the lands of Armagnac all these years in search of this liquid gold that they offer you.

Treasure hunters first out of taste, but also to satisfy a loyal clientele in search of quality brandies, they were together discoverers of Armagnacs. Today, Marc Darroze alone oversees the company, Francis Darroze having taken a well-deserved active retirement. He continues the work of guardian, sometimes antique dealer, initiated by his father to make these treasures accessible to us.

CAP Vintage is proud to offer you this excellent range of Darroze Armagnacs and to accompany you in this discovery through this range and around Armagnac. Cap Vintage certifies the conformity, origin, and quality of this vintage Armagnac.
