Banyuls 1962 – Cave de l'étoile

This old vintage 1962 Banyuls from Cave de l'étoile, made from the best growths of the Catalan terroir, has aged in old oak barrels.

This vintage 1962 Banyuls is available in 75 cl bottles.

With unique expertise in maturing Banyuls, its range is extremely rich.
The vineyard is located in the far south of France, where the Pyrenees meet the Mediterranean. It is delimited by the 4 ports of Collioure, Port-Vendres, Banyuls-sur-Mer and Cerbère. Its surface area is 1800 hectares. It is between sea and mountain that the vines cling to the steep slopes on schist soil. They are exclusively worked by hand.

Terroir of AOC Banyuls

At the eastern end of the Pyrenees, on the steep hillsides of the Côte Vermeille, the old vines cultivated on terraces overlook the Mediterranean Sea. This is the setting of this exceptional terroir steeped in traditions. Banyuls is exclusively produced in the four communes that join the last Pyrenean reliefs to the sea: Collioure, Port-Vendres, Banyuls-sur-Mer and the border village of Cerbères.

The region benefits from an exceptional microclimate, an annual sunshine of more than 300 days, frequent, sometimes violent winds, rare rainfall and direct maritime influence, which naturally leads to low yields.

Cap Vintage certifies the conformity, origin, and quality of this vintage Banyuls.
