Banyuls 1963 – Cave de l'étoile

This old 1963 vintage Banyuls from the Cave de l'étoile, made from the best crus of the Catalan terroir, has aged in old oak barrels.

This old 1963 vintage Banyuls is available in 75 cl bottles.

With unique expertise in aging Banyuls, its range is incredibly rich.
The vineyard is located in the far south of France, where the Pyrenees meet the Mediterranean. It is delimited by the 4 ports of Collioure, Port-Vendres, Banyuls-sur-Mer, and Cerbère. Its surface area is 1800 hectares. It is between the sea and the mountains that the vines cling to the steep slopes on a schist soil. They are exclusively hand-worked.

Terroir of AOC Banyuls

At the eastern end of the Pyrenees, on the steep slopes of the Côte Vermeille, old vines cultivated on terraces overlook the Mediterranean Sea. This is the setting of this exceptional terroir steeped in traditions. Banyuls is exclusively produced in the four communes that join the last Pyrenean reliefs to the sea: Collioure, Port-Vendres, Banyuls-sur-Mer, and the border village of Cerbères.

The region benefits from an exceptional microclimate, over 300 days of sunshine per year, frequent, sometimes violent winds, rare rainfall, and direct maritime influence, which naturally leads to low yields.

Cap Vintage certifies the conformity, origin, and quality of this vintage Banyuls.
