This old vintage Armagnac 1963 is offered in a Cognac-style bottle and its wooden Arche case. The first négociant-éleveur was Léonce LAFONTAN (1865-1939). Originally a horse merchant, in addition to being a winegrower, he became a Négociant-Éleveur in 1897 by founding Maison LAFONTAN. His primary activity, and his knowledge of the region, allowed him to make careful choices when purchasing old Armagnacs from the best crus. This is how Maison LAFONTAN became one of the pioneers in selling bottled Armagnac. It was in 1904 that he created the "VEUVE LAFONTAN & ses Enfants" range in homage to his late mother.
