Banyuls 1965 – Cave de l'étoile

This old Banyuls 1965 vintage from Cave de l'étoile, made from the best crus of the Catalan terroir, has aged in old oak barrels.

This old Banyuls 1965 vintage is available in 75 cl bottles.

With unique expertise in aging Banyuls, its range is exceptionally rich.
The vineyard is located in the extreme south of France, where the Pyrenees meet the Mediterranean. It is delimited by the 4 ports of Collioure, Port-Vendres, Banyuls-sur-Mer, and Cerbère. Its area is 1800 hectares. It is between sea and mountains that the vines cling to the steep slopes on a schist soil. They are exclusively worked by hand.

Terroir of AOC Banyuls

At the eastern end of the Pyrenees, on the steep slopes of the Côte Vermeille, old vines cultivated on terraces overlook the Mediterranean Sea. Such is the setting of this exceptional terroir steeped in tradition. Banyuls is exclusively produced in the four communes that connect the last Pyrenean foothills to the sea: Collioure, Port-Vendres, Banyuls-sur-Mer, and the border village of Cerbères.

The region benefits from an exceptional microclimate, annual sunshine of over 300 days, frequent sometimes violent wind, rare rainfall, and direct maritime influence, which naturally leads to low yields.

Cap Vintage certifies the conformity, origin, and quality of this vintage Banyuls.
