Bas-Armagnac 1970 – Veuve Lafontan & ses Enfants

This old 1970 vintage Armagnac, Veuve Lafontan & ses Enfants, comes from the best crus of the Gascon region and has aged in old oak barrels. This old 1970 vintage Armagnac is offered in a Cognac-style bottle and its wooden Arche case.

The first merchant breeder was Léonce LAFONTAN (1865-1939), originally a horse dealer, who, in addition to being a winegrower, became a Merchant-Breeder in 1897 by founding the Maison LAFONTAN. His primary activity and knowledge of the region allowed him to make a meticulous choice for the purchase of old Armagnacs from the best crus. Thus, Maison LAFONTAN was one of the pioneers in selling Armagnac in bottles. It was in 1904 that he created the "VEUVE LAFONTAN & ses Enfants" range in homage to his deceased mother.

Stored in old oak barrels, this 1970 Bas-Armagnac has been subjected to the work of time to acquire the nobility of the greatest nectars. It is during a long aging process that it has acquired the fullness of its aromas.
