Bas-Armagnac 1972 – Veuve Lafontan & ses Enfants

This vintage 1972 Armagnac from Veuve Lafontan & ses Enfants, originating from the best crus of the Gascon region, has aged in old oak barrels. This vintage 1972 Armagnac is offered in a Cognac-style bottle and its wooden Arche box.

The first négociant éleveur was Léonce LAFONTAN (1865-1939), originally a horse merchant, who, in addition to being a winegrower, became a Négociant - Eleveur in 1897 by founding Maison LAFONTAN. His primary activity and knowledge of the region allowed him to make meticulous choices for purchasing old Armagnacs from the best crus. Thus, Maison LAFONTAN was one of the pioneers in selling bottled Armagnac. In 1904, he created the "VEUVE LAFONTAN & ses Enfants" range in homage to his deceased mother.

Stored in old oak barrels, this Bas-Armagnac 1972 has been subjected to the work of time to acquire the nobility of the greatest nectars. It was during a long aging process that it acquired the fullness of its aromas.
