Armagnac 1977 Clés des Ducs
It is during a long aging in oak barrels that it acquired the fullness of its aromas. Cap Vintage certifies the conformity, origin, and quality of this Armagnac.Les Armagnacs Clés des Ducs
It is in the small Gers village of Panjas, in the heart of the Gers, that the cellars of the Clés des Ducs house are located, where its cellar master Jérome Zadro has just succeeded Philippe Lézama. The latter, having held the position for 35 years, has skillfully transmitted his know-how.
"Over the years, we have managed to preserve the specificity of Armagnac Clés des Ducs."
The specificities and particularities that we find within the Clés des Ducs house are multiple:
- The vast majority of Armagnac Clés des Ducs are made from the Ugni Blanc grape variety.
- The specificity begins with distillation, where the Clés des Ducs cellar master uses medium to low barrel heating. To stand out, Clés des Ducs has chosen to lightly oak its armagnacs by limiting aging in new oak barrels to 3 or 4 months to limit wood uptake.
- The brand prefers the fruitiness of the eaux-de-vie over the aromas born of aging.
