Grape variety: 100% Baco

For more than 20 years, Marc Darroze has dedicated a lot of energy and passion to Armagnac. Through contact with Gascon winegrowers, distillers, coopers, and breeders, Marc Darroze has been able to grasp all the diversity and nobility of our profession.

In the family home, the aging process of his Armagnacs has become more precise and refined, and his expertise is now complete.

This vintage Armagnac 1981 Darroze is available in 70 cl bottles, in cases.

A lover of his South-West and its age-old tradition, this cult chef of Landes gastronomy initiated his son Francis into the culinary arts, great wines, and fine Gascon brandies. It is by cultivating this taste for tradition and authenticity that Francis Darroze, while exploring this famous terroir of Bas-Armagnac with his father, an experienced and demanding oenophile, and tasting hidden treasures deep within small estates, became a true discoverer of owner-produced Armagnacs.

The first discoveries date back to the 1950s & 60s
, then intensified from the 1970s with the construction of a cellar specifically dedicated to aging.

His son Marc, an oenologist by training, followed in his footsteps in 1996. Both complementary, both "treasure hunters," as Martine Nouet called them in her book "Eaux-de-vie: le guide," they have crisscrossed the lands of Armagnac for all these years in search of this liquid gold that they offer you.

Treasure hunters first out of taste, but also to satisfy a loyal clientele looking for quality brandies, they were together discoverers of Armagnacs. Today, Marc Darroze alone oversees the company, Francis Darroze having taken a well-deserved active retirement. He continues the work of guardian, sometimes of an initiated antique dealer, begun by his father to make these treasures accessible to us.
