Armagnac 1982 Darroze

This old vintage 1982 Darroze Armagnac, from the best crus, has aged in old oak barrels.

Grape variety: 100% Baco

For over 20 years, Marc Darroze has dedicated a great deal of energy and passion to Armagnac. Through contact with winegrowers, distillers, coopers, and Gascon breeders, Marc Darroze has been able to grasp all the diversity and nobility of our profession.

In the family home, the maturation of his Armagnacs has become more precise, refined, and his expertise is now complete.

This vintage 1982 Darroze Armagnac is offered in a 70 cl bottle in a wooden box.

A lover of his South-West and its ancient tradition, this cult chef of Landes gastronomy initiated his son Francis to the culinary art, to great wines, and to fine Gascon brandies. It was by cultivating this taste for tradition, for authenticity, that Francis Darroze, by traveling with his father, a knowledgeable and demanding oenophile, through this famous Bas-Armagnac terroir and tasting treasures hidden deep within small estates, became a true scout for proprietor Armagnacs.

The first discoveries date back to the 1950s & 60s
, then intensified from the 1970s with the construction of a cellar specifically dedicated to aging.

His son Marc, an oenologist by training, followed in his footsteps in 1996. Both complementary, both "treasure hunters", as Martine Nouet called them in her book "Eaux-de-vie: le guide", they have crisscrossed the Armagnac lands for all these years in search of this liquid gold that they offer you.

Treasure hunters first of all by taste, but also to satisfy a loyal clientele in search of quality brandies, they were together discoverers of Armagnacs. Today, Marc Darroze alone oversees the company, Francis Darroze having taken a well-deserved active retirement. He continues the work of guardian, sometimes of initiated antique dealer, begun by his father to make these treasures accessible to us.
