For over 20 years, Marc Darroze has dedicated a lot of energy and passion to Armagnac. Through contact with winegrowers, distillers, coopers and Gascon breeders, Marc Darroze has been able to appreciate the full diversity and nobility of our profession.

In the family home, the maturation of his Armagnacs has become more precise, refined, and his expertise is now complete.

This vintage Darroze Armagnac 1983 is offered in a 70 cl bottle in a wooden box.

A lover of his South-West and its ancient tradition, this cult chef of Landes gastronomy initiated his son Francis to the art of cooking, to great wines, and to fine Gascon brandies. It is by cultivating this taste for tradition and authenticity that Francis Darroze, by exploring with his father, an experienced and demanding oenophile, this famous terroir of Bas-Armagnac and by tasting treasures hidden deep in small estates, became a true discoverer of estate-bottled Armagnacs.

The first discoveries date back to the 1950s & 60s
, then intensified from the 1970s with the construction of a cellar specifically dedicated to aging.

His son Marc, a trained oenologist, followed in his footsteps in 1996. Both complementary, both "treasure hunters," as Martine Nouet called them in her book "Eaux-de-vie: le guide," they have crisscrossed the Armagnac lands for all these years in search of this liquid gold that they offer you.

Treasure hunters first out of taste, but also to satisfy a loyal clientele in search of quality brandies, they were together discoverers of Armagnacs. Today, Marc Darroze alone oversees the business, Francis Darroze having taken a well-deserved active retirement. He continues the work of guardian, sometimes initiated by his father, to make these treasures accessible to us.

CAP Vintage is proud to offer you this excellent range of Darroze Armagnac and to accompany you on this discovery through this range and around Armagnac. Cap Vintage certifies the conformity, origin, and quality of this vintage Armagnac.
