A lover of his South-West and its centuries-old tradition, this cult chef of Landes gastronomy introduced his son Francis to the culinary arts, great wines, and fine Gascon eaux-de-vie. It was by cultivating this taste for tradition, for authenticity, that Francis Darroze, by traveling with his father, a connoisseur and demanding oenophile, this famous Bas-Armagnac terroir and tasting hidden treasures deep in small estates, became a true discoverer of propriétaire Armagnacs.
The first discoveries date back to the 1950s & 60s, then intensified from the 1970s with the construction of a cellar specifically dedicated to aging.
