Armagnac 1987 Darroze
This old vintage 1987 Darroze Armagnac, from the best crus, has aged in old oak barrels.
For more than 20 years, Marc Darroze has dedicated a lot of energy and passion to Armagnac. In contact with winegrowers, distillers, coopers and Gascon breeders, Marc Darroze has been able to grasp all the diversity and nobility of our profession.
In the family home, the maturation of his Armagnacs has become more precise, refined, and his expertise is now complete. This vintage 1987 Darroze Armagnac is offered in a 70 cl bottle in a case. A lover of his **South-West** and its centuries-old tradition, this cult chef of **Landaise gastronomy** introduced **his son Francis** to the art of cooking, great wines, and fine **Gascon brandies**. It was by cultivating this taste for tradition, for authenticity, that **Francis Darroze**, by traversing with his father, a connoisseur and demanding oenophile, this famous terroir of Bas-Armagnac and by tasting hidden treasures in the depths of small estates, became a true discoverer of owner-produced Armagnacs.
The first discoveries date back to the 1950s & 60s, then intensified from the 1970s with the construction of a cellar specifically dedicated to aging.
His son Marc, an oenologist by training, followed in his footsteps in 1996. Both complementary, both "treasure hunters", as Martine Nouet called them in her book "Eaux-de-vie: le guide", they have traveled the lands of Armagnac all these years in search of this liquid gold that they offer you. Treasure hunters first out of taste, but also to satisfy a loyal clientele looking for quality brandies, they were together discoverers of Armagnacs. Today, Marc Darroze alone oversees the business, Francis Darroze having taken a well-deserved active retirement. He continues the work of guardian, sometimes antique dealer initiated by his father to make these treasures accessible to us.
CAP Vintage is proud to be able to offer you this excellent Armagnac Darroze range and to accompany you in this discovery through this range and around Armagnac. Cap Vintage certifies the conformity, origin, and quality of this vintage Armagnac.
