Armagnac 1989 Darroze

This old 1989 vintage Darroze Armagnac, made from the best crus, has aged in old oak barrels.

Grape variety: 100% Baco

For over 20 years, Marc Darroze has dedicated a great deal of energy and passion to Armagnac. In contact with winegrowers, distillers, coopers, and Gascon breeders, Marc Darroze has been able to grasp all the diversity and nobility of our profession.

In the family home, the aging of his Armagnacs has become more precise, refined, and his expertise is now complete.

This 1989 Darroze vintage Armagnac is offered in a 70 cl bottle in a wooden box.

A lover of his South-West and its ancient tradition, this cult chef of Landes gastronomy initiated his son Francis to the culinary art, great wines, and fine Gascon eaux-de-vie. It was by cultivating this taste for tradition and authenticity that Francis Darroze, by traveling with his father, an experienced and demanding oenophile, through this famous Bas-Armagnac terroir and tasting hidden treasures in the depths of small estates, became a true discoverer of owner-produced Armagnacs.

The first discoveries date back to the 1950s and 60s, then intensified from the 1970s with the construction of a cellar specifically dedicated to aging.

His son Marc, an oenologist by training, followed in his footsteps in 1996. Both complementary, both "treasure hunters", as Martine Nouet called them in her book "Eaux-de-vie: le guide", they have traveled the lands of Armagnac for all these years in search of this liquid gold that they offer you.

Treasure hunters first out of taste, but also to satisfy a loyal clientele looking for quality eaux-de-vie, they were together discoverers of Armagnacs. Today, Marc Darroze alone oversees the business, Francis Darroze having taken a well-deserved active retirement. He continues the work of guardian, sometimes initiated antique dealer by his father, to make these treasures accessible to us.

CAP Vintage is proud to offer you this excellent range of Armagnac Darroze and to accompany you on this discovery through this range and around Armagnac. Cap Vintage certifies the conformity, origin, and quality of this vintage Armagnac.
