1. This 1989 Banyuls, an old vintage from the Cave de l'Etoile collection, has retained a bright and clear robe and a deep colour with ruby reflections.

1. Its nose is still powerful, presenting aromas of spiced butter and dried fruit.

1. Its palate has a straightforward and balanced attack. The tannins are still rich and very present. Subtle, elegant, aromatic, it expresses a beautiful freshness for its age, as well as a beautiful length.

With unique know-how for aging Banyuls, its range is very rich.
The vineyard is located in the extreme south of France, where the Pyrenees meet the Mediterranean. It is delimited by the 4 ports of Collioure, Port-Vendres, Banyuls-sur-Mer, and Cerbère. Its surface area is 1800 hectares. It is between sea and mountains that the vines cling to the steep slopes on schist soil. They are exclusively worked by hand. It is right in the center of the town of Banyuls-sur Mer, 200 meters from the beach, that the treasures of La Cave de L'Étoile rest.

 Behind this renowned establishment lies a whole history, marked by a key date, the year 1921, which saw the birth of the 1st cooperative cellar of Banyuls, through the action of 11 winegrowers who decided to group their productions to facilitate the marketing of their wines, with the desire for direct distribution to individuals.
