Tasting Armagnac 1990 Darroze  41.4° alc.

    1. This 1990 Darroze Armagnac, a vintage from Marc Darroze's selection, has a beautiful amber color with golden reflections.
    1. A nose of dried fruits (almond, fig, hazelnuts), candied fruits (date), and delicate spices (gingerbread, clove). Superb.
    1. On the palate, the tannins are silky. We find these aromas of dried fruits, leather, and coffee.
    1. Beautiful length for the finish of this 1990 Darroze Armagnac.

Armagnac 1990 Darroze

This old vintage 1990 Darroze Armagnac, made from the best crus, has aged in old oak barrels.

Grape variety: 100% Baco

For over 20 years, Marc Darroze has dedicated a great deal of energy and passion to Armagnac. Through contact with winegrowers, distillers, coopers, and Gascon breeders, Marc Darroze has been able to appreciate the full diversity and nobility of our profession.

In the family home, the aging of his Armagnacs has become more precise and refined, and his expertise is now total.

This vintage 1990 Darroze Armagnac is offered in a 70 cl bottle in a wooden box.

A lover of his South-West and its ancient tradition, this cult chef of Landes gastronomy initiated his son Francis into the culinary arts, great wines, and fine Gascon brandies. It was by cultivating this taste for tradition and authenticity that Francis Darroze, by exploring with his father, an experienced and demanding oenophile, this famous terroir of Bas-Armagnac and by tasting hidden treasures in the depths of small estates, became a true scout of owner Armagnacs.

The first discoveries date back to the 1950s & 60s
, then intensified from the 1970s with the construction of a cellar specifically dedicated to aging.

His son Marc, an oenologist by training, followed in his footsteps in 1996. Both complementary, both "treasure hunters," as Martine Nouet called them in her book "Eaux-de-vie: le guide," they have crisscrossed the lands of Armagnac for all these years in search of this liquid gold that they offer you.

Treasure hunters first out of taste, but also to satisfy a loyal clientele looking for quality brandies, they were together discoverers of Armagnacs. Today, Marc Darroze oversees the company alone, Francis Darroze having taken a well-deserved active retirement. He continues the work of guardian, sometimes of an antique dealer initiated by his father, to make these treasures accessible to us.

CAP Vintage is proud to be able to offer you this excellent range of Darroze Armagnac and to accompany you on this discovery through this range and around Armagnac. Cap Vintage certifies the conformity, origin, and quality of this vintage Armagnac.
