Darroze Armagnac 1990

This old vintage Darroze Armagnac 1990, from the best crus, has aged in old oak barrels.

Grape variety: 100% Baco

For over 20 years, Marc Darroze has dedicated a lot of energy and passion to Armagnac. Through contact with Gascon winegrowers, distillers, coopers, and breeders, Marc Darroze has been able to appreciate all the diversity and nobility of our profession.

In the family home, the aging of his Armagnacs has become more precise and refined, and his expertise is now complete.

This vintage Darroze Armagnac 1990 is offered in a 70 cl bottle in a wooden box.

A lover of his South-West and its ancient tradition, this cult chef of Landes gastronomy initiated his son Francis to the culinary arts, great wines, and fine Gascon brandies. It was by cultivating this taste for tradition, for authenticity, that Francis Darroze, traveling with his father, an experienced and demanding oenophile, through this famous terroir of Bas-Armagnac and tasting treasures hidden deep in small estates, became a true scout of owner-produced Armagnacs.

The first discoveries date back to the 1950s & 60s
, then intensified from the 1970s with the construction of a cellar specifically dedicated to aging.

His son Marc, an oenologist by training, followed in his footsteps in 1996. Both complementary, both “treasure hunters”, as Martine Nouet called them in her book “Eaux-de-vie: le guide”, they have traveled the lands of Armagnac all these years in search of this liquid gold that they offer you.

Treasure hunters first out of taste, but also to satisfy a loyal clientele looking for quality brandies, they were together discoverers of Armagnacs. Today, Marc Darroze alone oversees the company, Francis Darroze having taken a well-deserved active retirement. He continues the work of guardian, sometimes antique dealer initiated by his father to make these treasures accessible to us.

CAP Vintage is proud to offer you this excellent range of Darroze Armagnac and to guide you in this discovery through this range and around Armagnac. Cap Vintage certifies the conformity, origin, and quality of this vintage Armagnac.
