Clés des Ducs Armagnacs

It is in the small Gers village of Panjas, in the heart of Gers, that the cellars of Clés des Ducs are located, where cellar master Jérome Zadro has just succeeded Philippe Lézama. The latter, who held the position for 35 years, skillfully passed on his expertise.

"Over the years, we have managed to preserve the specificity of Clés des Ducs Armagnac."

These specificities and particularities found within Clés des Ducs are numerous:
    • The vast majority of Clés des Ducs Armagnacs are made from the Ugni Blanc grape variety.
    • The specificity begins with distillation, where the Clés des Ducs cellar master uses medium to low barrel heating. To differentiate ourselves, Clés des Ducs has chosen to lightly wood our Armagnacs by limiting aging in new oak barrels to 3 or 4 months in order to limit wood intake.
    • The brand prefers the fruitiness of brandies over aromas born from aging.
