It was by cultivating this taste for tradition, for authenticity, thatFrancis Darroze, by traveling with his father, an experienced and demanding oenophile, through this famous terroir of Bas-Armagnac and tasting hidden treasures deep in small estates, became a true discoverer of estate Armagnacs.

The first discoveries date back to the 1950s & 60s, then intensified from the 1970s with the construction of a cellar specifically dedicated to aging.

His son Marc, a trained oenologist, followed in his footsteps in 1996. Both complementary, both"treasure hunters," as Martine Nouet called them in her book "Eaux-de-vie: le guide," they have crisscrossed the lands of Armagnac for all these years in search of this liquid gold that they offer you.

Treasure hunters first out of taste, but also to satisfya loyal clientele looking for quality brandies, they were together discoverers of Armagnacs. Today,Marc Darroze alone oversees the company, Francis Darroze having taken a well-deserved active retirement. He continues the work of guardian, sometimes of initiated antique dealer, begun by his father to make these treasures accessible to us.
