Maison SEMPÉ is one of the best-known Armagnac trading houses. It was founded in 1934 by Abel SEMPÉ, a tireless Gascon dedicated to his country and region. He was successively a recognized resistance fighter within the Armagnac battalion, then a Senator for the Gers for many years. Throughout his life, he remained deeply attached to the SEMPÉ brand. He developed it worldwide from the 1950s with superb and ever more innovative presentations. Since his passing, SEMPÉ continues to reflect his image.
