Armagnac 1997 Darroze

This aged vintage 1997 Darroze Armagnac, from the best crus, has aged in old oak barrels.

For over 20 years, Marc Darroze has dedicated much energy and passion to Armagnac. Through contact with winemakers, distillers, coopers, and Gascon breeders, Marc Darroze has been able to grasp the full diversity and nobility of our profession.

In the family home, the aging of his Armagnacs has become more precise, more refined, and his expertise is now complete.

This vintage 1997 Darroze Armagnac is offered in a 70 cl bottle in a wooden box.

A lover of his South-West and its ancient tradition, this cult chef of Landes gastronomy initiated his son Francis to the culinary art, to great wines, and to fine Gascon brandies. It was by cultivating this taste for tradition and authenticity that Francis Darroze, while traveling with his father, a discerning and demanding oenophile, through this famous Bas-Armagnac terroir and tasting treasures hidden deep within small estates, became a true discoverer of owner-produced Armagnacs.

The first discoveries date back to the 1950s & 60s, then intensified from the 1970s with the construction of a cellar specifically dedicated to aging.

His son Marc, a trained oenologist, followed in his footsteps in 1996. Both complementary, both "treasure hunters," as Martine Nouet called them in her book "Eaux-de-vie: le guide," they have traveled the lands of Armagnac all these years in search of this liquid gold that they offer you.

Treasure hunters first out of taste, but also to satisfy a loyal clientele looking for quality brandies, they were together discoverers of Armagnacs. Today, Marc Darroze alone oversees the business, Francis Darroze having taken a well-deserved active retirement. He continues the work of guardian, sometimes antique dealer initiated by his father, to make these treasures accessible to us.

CAP Vintage is proud to offer you this excellent range of Darroze Armagnac and to accompany you on this discovery through this range and around Armagnac. Cap Vintage certifies the conformity, origin, and quality of this vintage Armagnac.
