Armagnac 1997 Domaine de Charron – Cask Strength 49.6° | Sables Fauves | Oslo 70cl

Harvested in 1997 from the "sables fauves" (tawny sands) of Bas-Armagnac, this vintage matured in new 420-liter oak casks, crafted by Gilles Bartholomo, one of the last artisan coopers in the region at Le Frêche (Landes). Placed in new casks immediately after distillation, the eau-de-vie is regularly stirred, aerated, and moved over the years in the earthen-floored cellar. Bottled at natural cellar strength — 49.6° cask strength. Available in a 70cl Oslo bottle.

Tasting Profile

Color: Bright and clear.
Nose: Elegant and very aromatic — menthol and verbena aromas.
Palate: Frank, lively, and already very balanced attack, beautiful notes of dried fruit.
Finish: Great length. Magnificent, full-bodied, and persistent eau-de-vie.
