Darroze 1999 Armagnac

This old vintage Darroze 1999 Armagnac, made from the best crus, has aged in old oak barrels. The nose is light, fine, and pleasant.

For over 20 years, Marc Darroze has dedicated a great deal of energy and passion to Armagnac. Through his contact with winemakers, distillers, coopers, and Gascon breeders, Marc Darroze has been able to grasp all the diversity and nobility of our profession.

In the family home, the aging of his Armagnacs has become more precise, refined, and his expertise is now complete.

This vintage Darroze 1999 Armagnac is offered in a 70 cl bottle in a wooden box.

A lover of his South-West and its ancient tradition, this cult chef of Landes gastronomy initiated his son Francis to culinary art, fine wines, and exquisite Gascon eaux-de-vie. It was by cultivating this taste for tradition and authenticity that Francis Darroze, exploring this famous Bas-Armagnac terroir with his father, a discerning and demanding oenophile, and tasting hidden treasures deep within small estates, became a true discoverer of estate-bottled Armagnacs.

The first discoveries date back to the 1950s & 1960s
, then intensified from the 1970s with the construction of a cellar specifically dedicated to aging.

His son Marc Darroze, a trained oenologist, followed in his footsteps in 1996. Both complementary, both "treasure hunters," as Martine Nouet called them in her book "Eaux-de-vie: le guide," they have crisscrossed the Armagnac region for all these years in search of this liquid gold that they offer you.

Treasure hunters first out of taste, but also to satisfy a loyal clientele seeking quality eaux-de-vie, they were together discoverers of Armagnacs. Today, Marc Darroze alone oversees the company, Francis Darroze having taken a well-deserved active retirement. He continues the work of guardian, sometimes initiated antique dealer by his father, to make these treasures accessible to us.

CAP Vintage is proud to offer you this excellent Darroze Armagnac range and to accompany you in this discovery through this range and around Armagnac. Cap Vintage certifies the conformity, origin, and quality of this vintage Armagnac.
