Armagnac Darroze 2002

This old vintage Armagnac 2002 Darroze, made from the best crus, has aged in old oak barrels. The nose is light, fine, and pleasant.

For over 20 years, Marc Darroze has dedicated a lot of energy and passion to Armagnac. In contact with winegrowers, distillers, coopers, and Gascon breeders, Marc Darroze has been able to grasp all the diversity and nobility of our profession.

In the family home, his Armagnacs have been refined and perfected, and his expertise is now complete.

This vintage Armagnac Darroze 2002 is offered in a 70 cl bottle in a cardboard case.

A lover of his South-West and its ancient tradition, this cult chef of Landes gastronomy initiated his son Francis to the culinary arts, fine wines, and fine Gascon brandies. It was by cultivating this taste for tradition, for authenticity, that Francis Darroze, exploring with his father, a connoisseur and demanding oenophile, this famous terroir of Bas-Armagnac and tasting hidden treasures deep in small estates, became a true scout of propriétaires’ Armagnacs.

The first discoveries date from the 1950s & 60s, then intensified from the 1970s with the construction of a cellar specifically dedicated to aging.

His son Marc Darroze, an oenologist by training, followed in his footsteps in 1996. Both complementary, both "treasure hunters", as Martine Nouet called them in her book "Eaux-de-vie: le guide", they have traveled the lands of Armagnac all these years in search of this liquid gold that they offer you.

Treasure hunters first by taste, but also to satisfy a loyal clientele looking for quality brandies, they were together discoverers of Armagnacs. Today, Marc Darroze alone oversees the company, Francis Darroze having taken a well-deserved active retirement. He continues the work of guardian, sometimes antique dealer initiated by his father to make these treasures accessible to us.

CAP Vintage is proud to offer you this excellent range of Armagnac Darroze and to accompany you in this discovery through this range and around Armagnac. Cap Vintage certifies the conformity, origin, and quality of this vintage Armagnac.
