Armagnac 2003 Domaine de Charron – Cask Strength 50.6° | Sables Fauves | Oslo 70cl

Harvested in 2003 on the sables fauves (tawny sands) of Bas-Armagnac, this vintage matured in new 420-liter oak barrels, crafted by Gilles Bartholomo, one of the last artisanal coopers in the Le Frêche (Landes) region. Placed in new barrels immediately after distillation, the eau-de-vie is regularly stirred, aerated, and moved over the years in the earthen-floored cellar. Bottled at natural cellar strength — 50.6° cask strength. Offered in a 70cl Oslo bottle.

Tasting Profile

Color: Bright and clear.
Nose: Rich, finely woody, aromas of stewed yellow fruits.
Palate: Alcohol already well-integrated, without aggression — spicy cooked prune, light rancio, beautiful length.
Finish: Very strong personality, elegant and structured.
