The first discoveries date back to the 1950s & 60s, then intensified from the 1970s with the construction of a cellar specifically dedicated to aging. His son Marc Darroze, an oenologist by training, followed in his footsteps in 1996. Both complementary, both "treasure hunters", as Martine Nouet called them in her book "Eaux-de-vie: le guide", they have traveled the lands of Armagnac for all these years in search of this liquid gold that they offer you. Treasure hunters first by taste, but also to satisfy a loyal clientele looking for quality brandies, they were together discoverers of Armagnacs. Today, Marc Darroze alone oversees the company, Francis Darroze having taken a well-deserved active retirement. He continues the work of guardian, sometimes antique dealer, initiated by his father to make these treasures accessible to us.

For more than 20 years, Marc Darroze has dedicated a lot of energy and passion to Armagnac. Through contact with winegrowers, distillers, coopers, and Gascon breeders, Marc Darroze has been able to appreciate the full diversity and nobility of our profession.
In the family home, the aging of his Armagnacs has become more precise, refined, and his expertise is now complete.
This vintage Armagnac Darroze 2003 is offered in a 70 cl bottle in a cardboard box. A lover of his South-West and its ancient tradition, this cult chef of Landes gastronomy introduced his son Francis to the culinary arts, great wines, and fine Gascon brandies. It is by cultivating this taste for tradition and authenticity that Francis Darroze, by traveling with his father, an informed and demanding oenophile, through this famous terroir of Bas-Armagnac and tasting hidden treasures deep in small estates, became a true discoverer of owner Armagnacs.
