Armagnac 2004 Domaine de Charron – Cask Strength 51.2% | Sables Fauves | Oslo 70cl

Harvested in 2004 from the sables fauves (tawny sands) of Bas-Armagnac, this vintage matured in new 420-liter oak barrels, crafted by Gilles Bartholomo, one of the last artisan coopers in the region of Le Frêche (Landes). Housed in new barrels immediately after distillation, the eau-de-vie is regularly stirred, aerated, and moved over the years in the earthen-floored cellar. Bottled at natural cellar strength — 51.2% cask strength. Offered in an Oslo 70cl bottle.

Tasting Profile

Color: Bright and clear.
Nose: Elegant and very aromatic — menthol and verbena aromas.
Palate: Direct, lively, and already very balanced attack, beautiful notes of dried fruit.
Finish: Great length. Magnificent, full-bodied, and persistent eau-de-vie.
