TASTING NOTES

    1. This Armagnac Darroze 2004, a vintage from Marc Darroze's selection, has a beautiful golden color with brown reflections.
    1. The nose is subtly woody with aromas of cigar box, leather, and spices (licorice, nutmeg).
    1. On the palate, the tannins are round. We find the unique character of the baco grape, intense.
    1. Very good length on the palate with complexity for the finish of this Armagnac Darroze 2004. A terroir armagnac.

For more than 20 years, Marc Darroze has dedicated a lot of energy and passion to Armagnac. Through contact with winemakers, distillers, coopers, and Gascon breeders, Marc Darroze has been able to grasp all the diversity and nobility of our profession.

In the family home, the aging of his Armagnacs has become more precise, refined, and his expertise is now complete.

This vintage Armagnac Darroze 2004 is available in a 70 cl bottle in a cardboard box.

A lover of his South-West and its ancient tradition, this cult chef of Landes gastronomy introduced his son Francis to culinary art, fine wines, and exquisite Gascon brandies. It was by cultivating this taste for tradition, for authenticity, that Francis Darroze, by traveling with his father, a knowledgeable and demanding oenophile, through this famous terroir of Bas-Armagnac and by tasting treasures hidden in the depths of small estates, became a true discoverer of owner Armagnacs.

The first discoveries date back to the 1950s & 60s
, then intensified from the 1970s with the construction of a cellar specifically dedicated to aging.

His son Marc Darroze, a trained oenologist, followed in his footsteps in 1996. Both complementary, both “treasure hunters,” as Martine Nouet called them in her book “Eaux-de-vie: le guide,” they have crisscrossed the lands of Armagnac all these years in search of this liquid gold that they offer you.

Treasure hunters first by taste, but also to satisfy a clientele loyal to the search for quality brandies, they were together discoverers of Armagnacs. Today, Marc Darroze alone oversees the company, Francis Darroze having taken a well-deserved active retirement. He continues the work of guardian, sometimes of an antique dealer initiated by his father to make these treasures accessible to us.

CAP Vintage is proud to be able to offer you this excellent Armagnac Darroze range and to accompany you in this discovery through this range and around Armagnac. Cap Vintage certifies the conformity, origin, and quality of this vintage Armagnac.
