Monluc Organic Armagnac 2009
50 CL - 55.3 % ALC.
Château Monluc is located in the heart of Gascony. Since the Neolithic period, it has always been inhabited and has evolved over the centuries, from a wooden watchtower to the imposing residence surrounded by ramparts that it is today. It was the home of Blaise de Monluc (1500 – 1577), a Gascon captain who distinguished himself during his long military career, eventually becoming a Marshal of France at the age of 74, in gratitude for the services rendered to the five different kings of France he served.
Now, it is the seat of an important wine estate, birthplace of Pousse Rapière, and producer of Armagnac, local Côtes de Gascogne wines, Floc, and Liqueurs. This estate has been rooted in the Armagnac tradition for five generations of passion and innovation with the Pousse-Rapière and the primacy of producing traditional method wines in the Gers.
Five generations of passion centered around an estate rooted in its terroir, a château at the heart of both small and grand French history, and above all, still that fiery spirit, once that of the Gascon captains, to help you discover and appreciate original and varied products.
