His son Marc, a trained oenologist, followed in his footsteps in 1996. Both complementary, both "treasure hunters", as Martine Nouet called them in her book "Eaux-de-vie: le guide", they have travelled the lands of Armagnac all these years in search of this liquid gold that they offer you. Treasure hunters first out of taste, but also to satisfy a loyal clientele looking for quality brandies, they were together discoverers of Armagnacs. Today, Marc Darroze alone oversees the business, Francis Darroze having taken a well-deserved active retirement. He continues the work of guardian, sometimes antique dealer initiated by his father, to make these treasures accessible to us.

For over 20 years, Marc Darroze has dedicated a lot of energy and passion to Armagnac. Through contact with winegrowers, distillers, coopers and Gascon breeders, Marc Darroze has been able to grasp all the diversity and nobility of our profession.
In the family home, the maturation of his Armagnacs has become more precise, refined, and his expertise is now complete. This vintage Darroze Armagnac 1982 is offered in a 70 cl bottle in a wooden box. A lover of his South-West and its age-old tradition, this cult chef of Landes gastronomy initiated his son Francis into the culinary arts, fine wines, and exquisite Gascon brandies. It was by cultivating this taste for tradition, for authenticity, that Francis Darroze, travelling with his father, an experienced and demanding oenophile, through this famous terroir of Bas-Armagnac and tasting treasures hidden deep in small estates, became a true scout of Armagnacs from independent producers. The first discoveries date from the 1950s & 60s, then intensified from the 1970s with the construction of a cellar specifically dedicated to aging.
CAP Vintage is proud to offer you this excellent range of Darroze Armagnacs and to guide you in this discovery through this range and around Armagnac. Cap Vintage certifies the conformity, origin, and quality of this vintage Armagnac.
