CASSAGNAC 70cl — Armagnac cream liqueur, best served chilled.

The power of Armagnac in its creamy casing brings richness and complexity when tasting it on ice. Cassagnac is a unique product that can be compared to an Irish Cream, but it has a real specificity: it is made from Armagnac.

The recipe for making Cassagnac is a secret, but the notes of chocolate and caramel associated with the cream and Armagnac are easily recognizable. Very balanced and velvety, it contains less fat than classic Irish Creams.

The history of Cassagnac

Cassagnac draws its roots from the childhood memories of its creator, in the heart of rural Gascony in the Southwest. At his grandparents' vineyard, surrounded by orchards and a few cows, he discovered very early on the frank taste of fresh farm milk and the delicacy of the cream that his grandmother let rest for her desserts.

On this same farm, grapes were pressed and wines and fruits were distilled by the itinerant distiller, producing precious brandies. As an adult, he in turn took over an estate in Armagnac. One idea haunted him: to unite the fire of a great Armagnac with the sweet roundness of the milk cream of his childhood. From this quest, Cassagnac was born, a bridge between the child he was and the man he became.

As for its name, it pays tribute to the majestic oaks that line the hills and plateaus of the region. In old Southern French, an oak grove is called "Cassanea". By combining "Cassanea" and "Armagnac", just as he married milk cream and brandy, CASSAGNAC was born.

How to enjoy Cassagnac?

As a digestif or aperitif

Serve well chilled, ideally on ice, in a balloon glass or a tumbler. The coolness reveals the notes of chocolate, caramel, and the smooth creaminess of the cream.

In cocktails

Mix 4 cl of Cassagnac with a cold espresso and a few ice cubes for a Gascon espresso cream. You can also combine it with milk or whipped cream for a Southwest milkshake.

In desserts

Drizzle a scoop of vanilla or chocolate ice cream, a warm brownie, or a walnut tart with a few centiliters of Cassagnac for a gourmet and fragrant finish.
