For over 20 years, Marc Darroze has dedicated a great deal of energy and passion to Armagnac. Through his contact with winegrowers, distillers, coopers, and Gascon breeders, Marc Darroze has been able to grasp the full diversity and nobility of our profession.

In the family home, the aging of his Armagnacs has become more precise and refined, and his expertise is now complete.

This vintage 1984 Darroze Armagnac is offered in a 70 cl bottle in a wooden box.

A lover of his South-West and its ancient tradition, this cult chef of Landes gastronomy initiated his son Francis to the culinary arts, fine wines, and exquisite Gascon brandies. By cultivating this taste for tradition and authenticity, Francis Darroze, while exploring this famous Bas-Armagnac terroir with his father, a discerning and demanding oenophile, and tasting hidden treasures in the depths of small estates, became a true discoverer of estate Armagnacs.

The first discoveries date back to the 1950s & 60s, then intensified from the 1970s with the construction of a cellar specifically dedicated to aging.

His son Marc, an oenologist by training, followed in his footsteps in 1996. Both complementary, both "treasure hunters," as Martine Nouet called them in her book "Eaux-de-vie: le guide," they have crisscrossed the Armagnac region for all these years in search of this liquid gold that they offer you.

Treasure hunters first out of taste, but also to satisfy a loyal clientele looking for quality brandies, they were together Armagnac discoverers. Today, Marc Darroze alone oversees the company, Francis Darroze having taken a well-deserved active retirement. He continues the guardian work, sometimes as an antique dealer initiated by his father, to make these treasures accessible to us.

CAP Vintage is proud to offer you this excellent range of Armagnac Darroze and to accompany you in this discovery through this range and around Armagnac. Cap Vintage certifies the conformity, origin, and quality of this vintage Armagnac.
