This Darroze 30-year-old Armagnac blend, life begins at 30, the age of maturity. The fresh fruit has transformed into dried and candied fruit, the spicy character asserts itself, the first "rancio" aromas appear, and the alcohol is perfectly integrated. The fiery spirit of
youth fades. This Grand Assemblage is the perfect example of a magnificent balance found in brandies of this age.

For more than 20 years, Marc Darroze has dedicated a lot of energy and passion to Armagnac. Through contact with winegrowers, distillers, coopers, and Gascon breeders, Marc Darroze has been able to understand the diversity and nobility of our profession.
In the family home, the aging of his Armagnacs has become more precise, refined, and his expertise is now complete.

A lover of his South-West and its age-old tradition, this cult chef of Landes gastronomy initiated his son Francis to the culinary arts, fine wines, and exquisite Gascon brandies. It was by cultivating this taste for tradition and authenticity that Francis Darroze, by traveling with his father, a knowledgeable and demanding oenophile, through this famous Bas-Armagnac terroir and by tasting treasures hidden deep within small estates, became a true discoverer of owner-produced Armagnacs.
The first discoveries date from the 1950s & 60s, then intensified from the 1970s with the construction of a cellar specifically dedicated to aging.
His son Marc, a trained oenologist, followed in his footsteps in 1996. Both complementary, both "treasure hunters," as Martine Nouet called them in her book "Eaux-de-vie: le guide," they have crisscrossed the Armagnac lands for all these years in search of this liquid gold that they offer you.
Treasure hunters first out of taste, but also to satisfy a loyal clientele looking for quality brandies, they were together discoverers of Armagnacs. Today, Marc Darroze alone oversees the business, Francis Darroze having taken a well-deserved active retirement. He continues the work of guardian, sometimes of an initiated antique dealer, started by his father to make these treasures accessible to us.
