TASTING NOTES

This 8-year-old Armagnac Darroze blend is lightly oaked, allowing the fruity aromas to express themselves. Aromas as varied as prune, candied orange zest, quince... A raw, lively yet smooth and enveloping armagnac. You can also enjoy this brandy as an aperitif, with or without ice.

Armagnac Darroze 8 years - Les Grands Assemblages

This old 8-year-old Armagnac Darroze, made from the best crus, has been aged in old oak barrels.

The Darroze selection, Les Grands Assemblages

For over 20 years, Marc Darroze has dedicated a great deal of energy and passion to Armagnac. Through his contact with winemakers, distillers, coopers and Gascon breeders, Marc Darroze has been able to appreciate the full diversity and nobility of our profession.

In the family home, the aging process of his Armagnacs has become more precise and refined, and his expertise is now complete.

This vintage 1979 Darroze Armagnac is available in a 70 cl bottle in a cardboard case.

In love with his South-West and its age-old tradition, this cult chef of Landes gastronomy initiated his son Francis to the culinary arts, great wines and fine Gascon brandies. It was by cultivating this taste for tradition and authenticity that Francis Darroze, by traveling with his father, an expert and demanding oenophile, through this famous terroir of Bas-Armagnac and by tasting treasures hidden deep within small estates, became a true discoverer of Armagnacs from owners.

The first discoveries date back to the 1950s & 60s
, then intensified from the 1970s with the construction of a cellar specifically dedicated to aging.

His son Marc, a trained oenologist, followed in his footsteps in 1996. Both complementary, both "treasure hunters", as Martine Nouet called them in her book "Eaux-de-vie: le guide", they have traveled the lands of Armagnac all these years in search of this liquid gold that they offer you.

Treasure hunters first out of taste, but also to satisfy a loyal clientele looking for quality brandies, they were together discoverers of Armagnacs. Today, Marc Darroze alone oversees the company, Francis Darroze having taken a well-deserved active retirement. He continues the work of guardian, sometimes initiated antiquarian by his father, to make these treasures accessible to us.

CAP Vintage is proud to offer you this excellent range of Armagnac Darroze and to accompany you in this discovery through this range and around Armagnac. Cap Vintage certifies the conformity, origin, and quality of this vintage Armagnac.
