TASTING NOTES
This 12-year-old Darroze Armagnac blend, after 12 years of contact with oak wood, begins to develop aging aromas. The fruit, still very present, is accompanied by initial aromas of sweet spices, liquorice, and cinnamon. Still fiery, this eau-de-vie will gain complexity after a few minutes of aeration in your glass.

For over 20 years, Marc Darroze has dedicated much energy and passion to Armagnac. In contact with winegrowers, distillers, coopers, and Gascon breeders, Marc Darroze has been able to appreciate the full diversity and nobility of our profession.
In the family home, the aging of his Armagnacs has become more precise, refined, and his expertise is now complete.

A lover of his South-West and its ancient tradition, this cult chef of Gascon gastronomy initiated his son Francis to the culinary arts, fine wines, and exquisite Gascon eaux-de-vie. It is by cultivating this taste for tradition and authenticity that Francis Darroze, exploring this famous Bas-Armagnac terroir with his father, an informed and demanding oenophile, and tasting treasures hidden deep within small estates, became a true discoverer of estate Armagnacs.
The first discoveries date back to the 1950s & 60s, then intensified from the 1970s with the construction of a cellar specifically dedicated to aging.
His son Marc, an oenologist by training, followed in his footsteps in 1996. Both complementary, both "treasure hunters," as Martine Nouet called them in her book "Eaux-de-vie: le guide," they have crisscrossed the lands of Armagnac for all these years in search of this liquid gold that they offer you.
Treasure hunters first out of taste, but also to satisfy a loyal clientele in search of quality eaux-de-vie, they were together discoverers of Armagnacs. Today, Marc Darroze alone oversees the business, Francis Darroze having taken a well-deserved active retirement. He continues the work of guardian, sometimes initiated antiquarian by his father, to make these treasures accessible to us.
