TASTING NOTES

This 12-year-old Armagnac Darroze blend, after 12 years of contact with oak wood, begins to take on aging aromas. The fruit, still very present, is accompanied by initial aromas of sweet spices, liquorice, and cinnamon. Still fiery, this eau-de-vie will gain in complexity after a few minutes of aeration in your glass.

Armagnac Darroze 12 ans - Les Grands Assemblages

This 12-year-old Armagnac Darroze, made from the best crus, has aged in old oak barrels.

The Darroze selection, Les Grands Assemblages

For over 20 years, Marc Darroze has dedicated a lot of energy and passion to Armagnac. In contact with winegrowers, distillers, coopers, and Gascon breeders, Marc Darroze has been able to grasp all the diversity and nobility of our profession.

In the family home, the maturation of his Armagnacs has become more precise, more refined, and his expertise is now complete.

This 12-year-old Armagnac Darroze is available in a 70 cl bottle, in a cardboard case.

A lover of his South-West and its centuries-old tradition, this cult chef of Landes gastronomy initiated his son Francis to the culinary arts, to great wines, to fine Gascon brandies. It is by cultivating this taste for tradition, for authenticity, that Francis Darroze, by traveling with his father, an experienced and demanding oenophile, this famous terroir of Bas-Armagnac and by tasting treasures hidden deep within small estates, became a true scout of owner Armagnacs.

The first discoveries date back to the 1950s & 60s
, then intensified from the 1970s with the construction of a cellar specifically dedicated to aging.

His son Marc, an oenologist by training, followed in his footsteps in 1996. Both complementary, both "treasure hunters", as Martine Nouet called them in her book "Eaux-de-vie: le guide", have crisscrossed the Armagnac lands all these years in search of this liquid gold that they offer you.

Treasure hunters first out of taste, but also to satisfy a loyal clientele looking for quality brandies, they were together discoverers of Armagnacs. Today, Marc Darroze alone oversees the company, Francis Darroze having taken a well-deserved active retirement. He continues the work of guardian, sometimes of initiated antique dealer by his father to make these treasures accessible to us.

CAP Vintage is proud to offer you this excellent range of Armagnac Darroze and to accompany you in this discovery through this range and around Armagnac. Cap Vintage certifies the conformity, origin, and quality of this vintage Armagnac.
