Treasure hunters first by taste, but also to satisfy **a loyal clientele seeking quality brandies**, they were together discoverers of Armagnacs. Today, **Marc Darroze** alone oversees the company, Francis Darroze having taken a well-deserved active retirement. He continues the work of guardian, sometimes antique dealer initiated by his father to make these treasures accessible to us.

For over 20 years, Marc Darroze has dedicated a great deal of energy and passion to Armagnac. In contact with winegrowers, distillers, coopers, and Gascon breeders, Marc Darroze has been able to appreciate all the diversity and nobility of our profession.
In the family home, the maturation of his Armagnacs became more precise, refined, and his expertise is now total. This vintage 1988 Darroze Armagnac is offered in a 70 cl bottle in a cardboard case. A lover of his **South-West** and its centuries-old tradition, this cult chef of **Landes gastronomy** initiated **his son Francis** into the culinary art, great wines, and fine **Gascon brandies**. It was by cultivating this taste for tradition, for authenticity, that **Francis Darroze**, by traversing with his father, an experienced and demanding oenophile, this famous terroir of Bas-Armagnac and by tasting treasures hidden deep within small estates, became a true discoverer of owner-produced Armagnacs. **The first discoveries date back to the 1950s and 60s**, then intensified from the 1970s with the construction of a cellar specifically dedicated to aging. **His son Marc**, an oenologist by training, followed in his footsteps in 1996. Both complementary, both **"treasure hunters"**, as Martine Nouet called them in her book "Eaux-de-vie: le guide", have traveled the lands of Armagnac for all these years in search of this liquid gold that they offer you.
CAP Vintage is proud to offer you this excellent range of Darroze Armagnacs and to guide you in this discovery through this range and around Armagnac. Cap Vintage certifies the conformity, origin, and quality of this vintage Armagnac.
