1. Its nose is still powerful, with aromas of spiced butter and dried fruit.

1. Its palate has a frank and balanced attack. The tannins are still rich and very present. Subtle, elegant, aromatic, it expresses a beautiful freshness for its age, as well as a beautiful length.

Banyuls 1970 – Cave de l'étoile

This old Banyuls 1970 vintage from Cave de l'étoile, made from the best crus of the Catalan terroir, has aged in old oak barrels. This old Banyuls 1970 vintage is offered in 75 cl bottles.

With unique expertise in aging Banyuls, its range is exceptionally rich.
The vineyard is located in the extreme south of France, where the Pyrenees meet the Mediterranean. It is delimited by the 4 ports of Collioure, Port-Vendres, Banyuls-sur-Mer, and Cerbère. Its area is 1800 hectares. Between sea and mountains, the vines cling to the steep slopes on schist soil. They are exclusively hand-worked.
