1. This 1980 Banyuls, an old vintage from Cave de l'étoile's collection, has retained a brilliant and clear color and a deep hue with ruby reflections.

1. Its nose is still powerful, presenting aromas of butter, spices, and dried fruits.

1. Its palate has a straightforward and balanced attack. The tannins are still rich and very present. Subtle, elegant, aromatic, it expresses a beautiful freshness for its age, as well as a beautiful length.

With unique expertise in aging Banyuls, its range is very rich.
The vineyard is located in the far south of France, where the Pyrenees meet the Mediterranean. It is delimited by the 4 ports of Collioure, Port-Vendres, Banyuls-sur-Mer, and Cerbère. Its area is 1800 hectares. It is between sea and mountains that the vines cling to the steep slopes on schist soil. They are exclusively worked by hand.
