Blanche Armagnac Darroze Ugni Blanc 49% vol.
TASTING NOTES
In Gascony, this grape variety is used both in distillation (more than 50% of the distillation) and in the composition of Côtes de Gascogne country wines. It often brings balance and finesse.
The nose is clean, of medium intensity, soft and very delicate. There are classic aromas (grape, plum, quince) and more surprising aromas (fresh cane, cane sugar).
This Blanche is not sweet, silky and very delicate. Beautiful aromas of bitter almond, vine blossom and sultana reinforce this finesse. Very long in the mouth. Could be drunk neat, or as a long drink with pairings such as cucumber, elderflower or orgeat.

AUTHENTICITY
Three emblematic Armagnac grape varieties are used to highlight the authentic cultural heritage
of the Gascony eau-de-vie.
Similarly, the particular traditional continuous distillation of Armagnac has also been favoured.
RESPECT
After being stored for several months away from wood, in order to preserve and enhance its
character, each eau-de-vie complies with the specific specifications of the "Blanche Armagnac"
Controlled Appellation of Origin. During this ageing period, a slight reduction is carried out to bring the alcohol content to around 49%.
PLEASURE
These three cuvées were designed to bring surprise and pleasure and allow everyone to imagine their
own particular combination.
In the family home, the maturation of his Armagnacs has become precise and refined, and his expertise is now complete.
This Blanche Armagnac Darroze Ugni Blanc is offered in a 70 cl bottle.
A lover of his South-West and its secular tradition, this cult chef of Landaise gastronomy initiated his son Francis to the culinary arts, great wines, and fine Gascon brandies. It is by cultivating this taste for tradition, for authenticity, that Francis Darroze, exploring with his father, a discerning and demanding oenophile, this famous terroir of Bas-Armagnac and tasting treasures hidden in the depths of small estates, became a true scout of owner Armagnacs.
The first discoveries date back to the 1950s & 60s, then intensified from the 1970s with the construction of a cellar specifically dedicated to aging.
His son Marc, an oenologist by training, followed in his footsteps in 1996. Both complementary, both "treasure hunters", as Martine Nouet called them in her book "Eaux-de-vie: le guide", they have scoured the lands of Armagnac all these years in search of this liquid gold that they offer you.
Treasure hunters first out of taste, but also to satisfy a loyal clientele looking for quality brandies, they were together discoverers of Armagnacs. Today, Marc Darroze alone oversees the company, Francis Darroze having taken a well-deserved active retirement. He continues the work of guardian, sometimes of initiated antique dealer, started by his father to make these treasures accessible to us.
