Luxe Gascon 1928 Tasting 42°4 alc.
Luxe Gascon 1928 by Darroze
Gascony, a region situated between the Atlantic, the Pyrenees and the Garonne, has always cultivated a unique way of life, built on centuries of heritage. ARMAGNAC, of course, remains the perfect ambassador of this cherished tradition. For over 700 years, winemakers, distillers, coopers, cellar masters, and breeders have all contributed to Armagnac's esteemed reputation.
In Gascony and Armagnac, luxury is rooted in values such as sharing, transmission, respect for artisanal products, high standards, and excellence. It is in this spirit that DARROZE enhances its Armagnacs from the finest terroirs.
For generations, old Armagnacs have been carefully preserved in cellars, stored in demijohns (large glass bottles of 30 to 50 liters). These are wonderful Armagnacs, as rare as they are rich in history.
Marc Darroze, driven by values of authenticity and excellence, wanted to highlight some of these hidden treasures in these limited series called Luxe Gascon.
The luxury in Gascony is represented by the ability of producers and breeders to preserve Armagnacs for decades.
Finesse, authenticity, rarity, and elegance are all words that characterize these Armagnacs, packaged in crystal decanters specially produced to enhance these exceptional products.
Each batch is unique (only a few bottles), each decanter is numbered and accompanied by a certificate authenticating its origin and compliance with all the steps that attest to this very special luxury.

The Darroze Selection, The Great Blends
For over 20 years, Marc Darroze has dedicated significant energy and passion to Armagnac. Through his interactions with Gascon winemakers, distillers, coopers, and breeders, Marc Darroze has gained a deep understanding of the diversity and nobility of our profession.
Within the family home, his Armagnac aging processes have become more precise and refined, and his expertise is now complete.
This Darroze Luxe Gascon 1928 Armagnac is presented in a decanter and luxury case.
A lover of his South-West and its age-old tradition, this cult chef of Landes gastronomy initiated his son Francis to culinary art, fine wines, and fine Gascon brandies. It was by cultivating this taste for tradition and authenticity, that Francis Darroze, exploring with his father, an experienced and demanding oenophile, the famous terroir of Bas-Armagnac and tasting hidden treasures in the depths of small estates, became a true discoverer of owner-bottled Armagnacs.
The first discoveries date back to the 1950s & 60s, then intensified from the 1970s with the construction of a cellar specifically dedicated to aging.
His son Marc, an oenologist by training, followed in his footsteps in 1996. Both complementary, both "treasure hunters," as Martine Nouet called them in her book "Eaux-de-vie: le guide," they have traveled the lands of Armagnac for all these years in search of this liquid gold that they offer you.
Treasure hunters first out of passion, but also to satisfy a loyal clientele in search of quality brandies, they were together discoverers of Armagnacs. Today, Marc Darroze alone oversees the business, Francis Darroze having taken a well-deserved active retirement. He continues the work of guardian, sometimes of initiated antique dealer, started by his father, to make these treasures accessible to us.
CAP Vintage is proud to offer you this excellent range of Armagnac Darroze and to guide you in this discovery through this range and around Armagnac. Cap Vintage certifies the conformity, origin, and quality of this vintage Armagnac.
