Luxe Gascon 1929 Tasting 43°3 alc.
Luxe Gascon 1929 by Darroze
Gascony, a region situated between the Atlantic, the Pyrenees and the Garonne, has always cultivated a unique way of life. This is based on a heritage spanning several centuries. ARMAGNAC, of course, remains the perfect ambassador of this respected tradition. For over
700 years, winegrowers, distillers, coopers, breeders and cellar masters have bestowed Armagnac with all its nobility.
Luxury in Gascony, and in Armagnac, is fuelled by deeply ingrained values of sharing, transmission, respect for artisanal products, high standards and excellence.
It is in this spirit that the House of DARROZE enhances its armagnacs sourced from the finest terroirs.
From generation to generation, old Armagnacs are carefully preserved in cellars, stored in demijohns (large glass bottles of 30 to 50 litres).
Wonderful Armagnacs, as rare as they are steeped in history.
Marc Darroze, based on values of authenticity and excellence, wanted to sublimate some of these hidden treasures in these limited series entitled Luxe Gascon.
Luxury in Gascony is represented by the ability of producers and breeders to preserve Armagnacs for decades.
Finesse, authenticity, rarity, elegance are all words that characterise these Armagnacs, packaged in crystal decanters specially produced to enhance these exceptional products.
Each batch is unique (only a few bottles), each decanter is numbered and accompanied
by a certificate authenticating the origin and the respect of all the stages testifying to this very particular luxury.

The Darroze Selection, Les Grands Assemblages
For over 20 years, Marc Darroze has dedicated a great deal of energy and passion to Armagnac. Through his contact with Gascon winegrowers, distillers, coopers and breeders, Marc Darroze has been able to grasp the full diversity and nobility of our profession.
In the family home, the ageing of his Armagnacs has become more precise and refined, and his expertise is now complete.
This Darroze Luxe Gascon 1929 Armagnac is presented in a decanter and luxury case.
A lover of his South-West and its age-old tradition, this cult chef of Landes gastronomy introduced his son Francis to the culinary arts, fine wines, and fine Gascon eaux-de-vie. It was by cultivating this taste for tradition and authenticity that Francis Darroze, exploring with his father, an informed and demanding oenophile, the famous terroir of Bas-Armagnac and tasting treasures hidden deep within small estates, became a true discoverer of Armagnacs from private estates.
The first discoveries date back to the 1950s & 60s, then intensified from the 1970s with the construction of a cellar specifically dedicated to ageing.
His son Marc, an oenologist by training, followed in his footsteps in 1996. Both complementary, both "treasure hunters", as Martine Nouet called them in her book "Eaux-de-vie: le guide", they have travelled the lands of Armagnac for all these years in search of this liquid gold that they offer you.
Treasure hunters first of all by taste, but also to satisfy a loyal clientele in search of quality eaux-de-vie, they were together discoverers of Armagnacs. Today, Marc Darroze alone oversees the company, Francis Darroze having taken a well-deserved active retirement. He continues the work of guardian, sometimes antique dealer initiated by his father to make these treasures accessible to us.
